Promote Resilient Environment
There are different development objectives for a resilient environment. The development objectives are elaborated in different immediate objectives for more clarity. Relevant interventions will be carried out as per the community's needs, FAYA's capacity, and the availability of resources.
Development Objective 2.1: Building Climate-Resilient, Inclusive, and Smart Communities: Advancing Safe WASH, Green Spaces, and Youth-Led Innovation in Urban and Rural Areas
Immediate Objectives:
1. Advocate and collaborate to strengthen climate resilient WASH (CR-WASH) system.
2. Promote liveable and sustainable cities and villages through risk resilient and inclusive green space planning.
3. Advocating and collaborating for digitalization to enhance climate smart public places and services.
4. Empower youths as catalyst for climate action, safety culture promotion and innovation.
Development Objective 2.2: Ecosystems Protection and Restoration for a Sustainable Future
Immediate Objectives:
1. Engaging in the conservation of biodiversity for supporting ecological system.
2. Advocating sustainable management of natural resources for protecting forests.
3. Promoting nature-based reclamation and engaging communities in reforestation and afforestation activities to prevent desertification and restore degraded ecosystems.
4. Empowering communities to reduce pollution, adapt to climate change, and protect wetlands and watersheds.
Development Objective 2.3: Boosting Community Resilience for Climate Justice
Immediate Objectives:
1. Strengthening capacity of disadvantaged section of community (women and gender minorities, children and older people, Dalit and endangered ethnic groups and people with disability) to adapt and cope with the climate crisis and its effects.
2. Advocating justice for vulnerable individuals and communities because of the climate crisis.
3. Engaging with duty bearers for capacity strengthening and policy reform on climate resilience.
4. Promoting climate-resilient livelihoods for vulnerable communities to ensure long-term sustainability and reduce dependency on climate-sensitive resources.
