Promote social justice, governance, peace, and democracy

There are different development objectives for social justice, governance, peace, and democracy. The development objectives are elaborated in different immediate objectives for more clarity. Relevant interventions will be carried out as per the community's needs, FAYA's capacity, and the availability of resources.

Development Objective 3.1: Advocating Inclusive Societies through Empowered Governance, Equitable Access, and Civic Engagement

Immediate Objectives:

1. Promote inclusive nutrition and food security through advocacy, systemic reforms, and technological solutions.

2. Strengthening civil society and private sector partnerships to foster accountable, resilient, and participatory governance

3. Empowering communities to claim rights, foster peace and reconciliation, and promote the inclusive participation of disadvantaged groups in decision-making to address systemic inequalities.

4. Promote inclusive and participatory democracy by enhancing civic education, strengthening the capacity of elected representatives, and fostering meaningful citizen especially youth engagement in legislative and decision-making processes.

Development Objective 3.2: Promoting Inclusive and Equitable Universal Health Coverage and Education for All

Immediate Objectives:

1. Advocating for the inclusion of women, children, adolescents, older people, and persons with disabilities in health coverage plans,

2. Advocating for and engaging in quality health services with a focus on maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, geriatric health and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) with focus on breast & Cervical cancer.

3. Advocating and engaging in health education, inclusive education, trainings, research and innovation.

4. Advocating for inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all, with a focus on disadvantaged groups

Development Objective 3.3: Achieving Gender Equality, Inclusion and access to Justice

Immediate Objectives:

1. Promoting gender equality by empowering adolescents’ girls, adults, older women and gender minorities of all ages through increased awareness, and actively engaging men and boys to promote shared responsibility and positive gender norms.

2.  Advocating gender-sensitive policies and legal reforms at all levels, while engaging with authorities to ensure effective implementation that protects and promotes the rights of all, especially disadvantaged groups.

3. Strengthen partnerships to provide GBV support services and safe spaces, while promoting legal literacy, access to legal aid, and protection for marginalized groups.

4. Advocating for inclusive, victim-centred restorative justice, along with clemency for older people in the criminal justice system and mandatory care support for those whose caregivers are incarcerated.
