Building Peace through Community Development Project

The Building Peace through Community Development Project was implemented in the Palmanpur and Masuriya Village Development Committees (VDCs) of Kailali District. The project aimed to support conflict-affected individuals and economically disadvantaged groups by enhancing their access to income-generating opportunities, thereby improving their livelihoods and fostering long-term stability.

A key focus of the initiative was to strengthen community-based organizations (CBOs) and local service providers to actively promote social inclusion and peace within the community. Through capacity-building efforts, these organizations were empowered to address local challenges more effectively and work toward creating harmonious and equitable environments.

Additionally, the project worked to improve the facilities and resources available to local service providers and CBOs, enabling them to better serve the needs of poor and conflict-affected individuals. This approach ensured that marginalized groups received the necessary support and opportunities to integrate fully into the community, contributing to sustained peace and development.
