Flood disaster response 2007
In 2007, a flood disaster response initiative was carried out in Kailali District, covering Joshipur, Thapapur, and Bhajani Village Development Committees (VDCs). The program was implemented with the generous support of Caritas, ActionAid, and Aust Aid.
The primary objective was to provide emergency relief to communities severely affected by the devastating floods. This response included the distribution of essential supplies, ensuring access to clean water, food, temporary shelter, and basic healthcare. The initiative aimed to address the immediate needs of displaced and vulnerable families, helping them recover from the crisis and regain stability.
Through coordinated efforts, this intervention significantly mitigated the impact of the disaster, demonstrating the power of collaborative humanitarian action in times of crisis.
