Safer Remittance & Improving Livelihood Project

The Safer Remittance and Livelihood Improvement Project was implemented in Kailali District, covering Sadepani, Ramshikharjhala VDCs, and Dhangadhi Municipality, from July 2012 to March 2015. The project aimed to enhance the livelihoods of migrant worker families by promoting safer and more efficient remittance practices.

A key focus of the initiative was to equip families of migrant workers with financial literacy skills, enabling them to manage their finances effectively and plan for a sustainable future. Through targeted training sessions, awareness programs, and capacity-building activities, the project supported families in optimizing the use of remittances to improve their socio-economic conditions.

By addressing both the economic and educational needs of migrant families, the project contributed to creating a more resilient and financially empowered community in Kailali District.
