Post disaster support program

The Post-Disaster Support Program was implemented in Kailali District, specifically in Thapapur and Bhajani Village Development Committees (VDCs), from November 2007 to February 2008. This program aimed to provide essential post-disaster assistance to communities severely affected by devastating floods in the region.

The initiative focused on addressing immediate needs and supporting recovery efforts to help restore livelihoods, infrastructure, and overall community well-being. Activities included the distribution of relief materials, rehabilitation of critical facilities, and support for rebuilding efforts to ensure sustainable recovery. The program emphasized community engagement and resilience-building, enabling affected families to regain stability and prepare for future challenges.

This intervention played a crucial role in mitigating the long-term impacts of the disaster and promoting recovery in one of the most vulnerable areas of the district.
