Capacity Building Support Programs for Women MPs and MPs from Marginalized-I

This project was implemented in Sudurpashchim Province, targeting members of the Province Assembly (PA) to enhance their capacity and effectiveness in legislative processes. The program focused on creating a platform for sharing and learning among former women MPs, MPs from marginalized groups (including leaders such as Deputy Speakers and committee chairs), and current women MPs and MPs from marginalized communities.

The initiative facilitated dialogue and experience-sharing sessions, where participants discussed challenges, strategies, and best practices for navigating parliamentary roles and committee responsibilities. It also provided targeted capacity-building support, equipping MPs with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for inclusive policies, represent their constituencies effectively, and contribute meaningfully to the legislative process.

By fostering collaboration and mentorship among experienced and current MPs, the project aimed to strengthen leadership, amplify marginalized voices in decision-making, and promote gender-sensitive and inclusive governance within Sudurpashchim Province.
