Regional Emergency Fund (REF) Project
The Regional Emergency Fund (REF) Project was implemented in Kailali District, specifically in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis, from June 18 to June 30, 2019. This project aimed to provide emergency relief support to individuals and families affected by devastating floods in the region.
Through rapid response efforts, the REF project addressed the immediate needs of flood-impacted communities by distributing essential relief materials such as food, clean drinking water, hygiene kits, and emergency shelter supplies. The initiative prioritized vulnerable groups, including children, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities, to ensure equitable support and protection during the disaster.
The project also worked in close collaboration with local government authorities, community leaders, and humanitarian organizations to streamline the delivery of aid and enhance the effectiveness of the emergency response. By addressing urgent needs and mitigating the immediate impact of the disaster, the REF project played a vital role in supporting the recovery and resilience of flood-affected communities in Kailali District.
