Regional Food Security Governance Project
The Regional Food Security Governance Project was implemented in Kailali District, covering Chure, Janaki, Kailari, Bardagoriya, Mohanyal Rural Municipality, Godaghodi, Gauriganga, Bhajani, Lamkichuwa, Tikapur, Godawari Municipality, and Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis. The initiative aimed to empower target groups by enhancing their comprehension of Food and Nutrition Security (F & NS) governance and fostering their ability to engage in decision-making processes.
The project sought to elevate the participation of these groups in pertinent forums to advocate for and safeguard indigenous, environmentally sustainable farming practices, as well as the interests of farmers. Additionally, it endeavored to address gaps in F & NS policies and practices through collective advocacy efforts by these target groups and networks, aimed at improving production, procurement, and distribution systems.
