SUAAHARA-II
SUAAHARA-II was implemented in Kailali District, Nepal, from November 2016 to September 2022. The project aimed to improve the health and nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women and children under the age of two. By addressing critical issues such as maternal and child malnutrition, SUAAHARA-II worked to ensure better health outcomes through a comprehensive, multisectoral approach.
The project focused on enhancing nutrition-sensitive practices, promoting maternal and child health services, increasing dietary diversity, and fostering behavior change at the household and community levels. Through targeted interventions and collaboration with local stakeholders, SUAAHARA-II contributed to reducing malnutrition, improving awareness, and supporting sustainable health and nutrition practices within the community.
